Core Skills

  • Core Skills are essential if individuals are to meet both their personal needs and the needs of society. Individuals who can analyse and solve problems, communicate well, use information technology, and work with others effectively, are well-equipped to assume the active, flexible and responsible role which modern workplaces need and society expects.

  • If you intend to undertake a modern apprentice qualification you will need to ensure you comply with the requirements of the qualification to achieve all five core skills at Intermediate 1; If you left school before Core Skills were part of the curriculum or if you have left school without gaining all five Core Skills this need not be a serious problem.  AD Services Scotland Ltd are a registered centre for the delivery and certification of all five core skills, we can provide the tutor support and guidance to help you achieve all of the core skills that you lack.
