Team-Building Course, Using Music and Movement as a Learning Medium (SALSA)
 

Course Description:

This is eight week course introduces participants to the theories, principles, activities, techniques and practices of effective team-building. The course will focus on individual and team actions and behaviours that are required in order to build effective teams.
Using music and movement as a learning medium, participants will work in teams and participate in ‘structured exercises’ that reinforce instruction and improve the learning environment.
Because people learn better when they are enjoying themselves, an appropriate learning environment will be created that facilitates accelerated learning using relevant, exciting, creative and unique training methods to aid participants in their achievement of set learning objectives.

Qualification Details:

Step Forward (Scotland) Ltd certificate of completion. Qualification Details: This award, issued by Step Forward (Scotland) Ltd will recognise that the participant has achieved a good level of ability and has taken part in the course.

Entry Requirements:

There are no formal entry requirements. 


Venue and Attendance Information:

Venue: School Campus or similar by negotiation

Start Date: Ongoing from January 2010

End Date: average two months from start (depending on candidate requirements)

Disabled Access: YES

Attendance:

One or two hours per week depending on requirements.

Location: On school campus or local hall

Start: Varies depending on school preference and timetable

Duration: Depending on agreement this will be either one or two months

Cost:  £200

Cost Details:

Cost of course will cover the registration, certification, administration fees, teacher salary and teaching materials. (this course attracts ILA Scotland funding)
